About me
Dr. Terry L. Buxton, Sr. is a veteran educator, pastor, and speaker with over 18 years of experience in K–12 and higher education in Oklahoma. He has taught middle and high school English, served as a Dean of Students, ELA Department Chair, and has led district professional development workshops, drawing from his deep background in instructional leadership, classroom culture, and student engagement. Dr. Buxton holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership degree from Oral Roberts University. His passion is equipping educators to build classrooms that are culturally responsive, academically rigorous, and emotionally supportive. In addition to his work in schools, he serves as the senior pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Dr. Buxton is known for his energetic, practical, and research-based approach to empowering teachers and inspiring students.
